Judge who authorized undercover investigation into ‘diamond prosecutors’ received notice of suspicion

Judge of the Court of Appeal of Kyiv Maria Pryndiuk, who, according to a source of Censor.NET, authorized a covert investigation in the criminal proceedings against former Deputy Prosecutor of Kyiv region Oleksandr Korniiets and First Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Directorate of the Prosecutor General’s Office Volodymyr Shapakin accused of taking bribes, has been served notice of suspicion of committing a crime by members of the PGO’s Main Investigation Directorate today. The nature of the offense, which judge Pryndiuk is incriminated, is being specified.

According to the source, earlier, during interrogation in the case of Former Head of the Court of Appeal of Kyiv Anton Chernushenko, an officer of the Main Investigation Directorate headed by Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Stoliarchuk offered Maria Pryndiuk to testify that the case of the "diamond prosecutors" was trumped up, but she refused.

The notice was transmitted to her by post. Judge Pryndiuk is currently on sick leave. The members of the PGO's Main Investigation Directorate tried to obtain permission from her doctor to carry out investigative actions with her participation, but were refused and sent the notice by post, although her actual location was known to them and the investigators were obliged to serve it to her personally under the law.

It should be noted that the charges against Korniiets and Shapakin were based on this covert investigation. Thus the pressure on the judge, who has authorized them, can be a way to annul the evidence of guilt of the "diamond prosecutors" in several episodes.
