Volunteer Yana Zinkevych still in grave condition, suffers from pain syndrome, - chief doctor

Doctors are preparing volunteer from Hospitallers medical battalion Yana Zinkevych for a "major surgery."

The condition of medical volunteer Yana Zinkevych, who got into a car crash, is still serious. There is a positive dynamics, but she is suffering from pain syndrome. This was announced by Mechnikov regional hospital chief doctor Serhii Ryzhenko on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.

"She is active and has started to talk. She already wants to use a PC and talk on phone. However, her condition is still grave. The doctors are doing everything to arrest her pain," Ryzhenko said.

According to the chief doctor, Yana is now being prepared for a surgery.

"We examined her yesterday. Leading specialists from Kyiv and Kharkiv came. They arrived at the conclusion it was too early to conduct a surgery, she is not ready yet. We need 7-10 days more for recovery. Only then, we can plan a major surgery," Ryzhenko said.

The doctor says there is a problem as many soldiers, officers whom Yana helped want to visit her.
