Okhmatdyt Paediatric Cardiology Center on fire in Kyiv: 50 persons evacuated, including 24 children, - State Emergency Service (updated)

Center of paediatric cardiology in Kyiv's Okhmatdyt hospital at Chornovil St. caught fire Wednesday morning.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the State Emergency Service press office.

The Service received a call of the fire in the four-storeyed building of the paediatric cardiology center of the hospital at 8:21 a.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, the rescuers found that the hospital's third floor was on fire due to burning in one of the personnel rooms. The fire was extinguished at 8:55 a.m.

According to operational information, 50 persons were evacuated from the building during fire extinguishing operation, including 24 children. 22 units of fire engines and 85 personnel staff of the emergency service operated on site, the State Emergency Service informed.
