Kyiv will not pay its Russian debt without restucturization, - PM Yatseniuk

Kyiv will not pay its state debt to Moscow if Russia does not agree to restructuring.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine channel, this was announced by Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk in an interview to German Handelsblatt newspaper.

Yatseniuk said Kyiv would declare a moratorium on the debt payment and would not service the loan.

The prime minister stressed that Ukraine could not treat Russia differently than other international creditors. The government offered the same conditions for Moscow as for others, Yatseniuk said, and the deadline for reaching an agreement would be Oct. 29.

He also reminded that the credit in question was in fact "a bribe" from Russia to former president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych for not signing the Association Agreement with the EU.

The Russian loan of $3 bln is due by the end of the year. Moscow has refused to restructure it several times. Ukraine offered Russia the same conditions that it received on its private creditors' loans.
