 Well-known separatist Klinchaiev attacked in Kyiv. PHOTO

Luhansk separatist Arsen Klinchaiev, who organized riots and turmoil in Luhansk in the spring of 2014 and raised the Russian flag over the building of the Luhansk regional council, got beaten in Kyiv on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

This statement was posted on the website of former Verkhovna Rada MP Volodymyr Oliinyk, who fled from Ukraine to Russia to escape justice. There was also a photo of the separatist on the website, Censor.NET reports citing Vlada outlet.

According to the statement, Klinchaiev was attacked by three unknown persons near his home. He was in critical condition in hospital.

According to other information, Klinchaiev had got beaten in one of the Kyiv's restaurants, where he had a squabble with a visitor.

Arsen Klinchaiev is known for his radical anti-Ukrainian views. In March 2014, he called on residents of Luhansk to take arms and go fight against Ukraine. These calls were followed by hostilities in the city that resulted in the deaths of several thousand people.
