Parliament to return to issue of resignation of Kvitashvili this evening, Rada First Vice-Speaker says

First Vice-Speaker Andrii Parubii expects that the issue of the resignation of Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili, whom the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has failed to dismiss in the morning, will be raised again at the evening session.

He said this to journalists on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada, Censor.NET reports.

"I think that we lacked five or six votes (to support the resignation of Kvitashvili - Ed.) only due to the political tension in the hall. I expect that we will vote this issue today if the tension falls," Parubii said.

He added that Rada has still not dismissed Kvitashvili due to the fact that some factions of the coalition demanded to grant him a hearing in the parliament.

At the same time Parubii noted that "there is hysteria" in the Session Hall each time when it comes to personnel affairs." "And when we start talking about the fight against corruption - the hall immediately empties," the vice-speaker of the parliament concluded.
