"Ukraine has carefully studied the 11th report released by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Office, which covers the period from May 16 to Aug. 15, 2015. The information gathered by the monitoring mission became another evidence of highly negative impact of the Russian aggression against Ukraine on the human rights situation. In particular, it clearly stated the impact of external factors on human rights in the region, including delivery of manpower, weapons, and ammunition from the Russian Federation to the Donbas," the statement reads.

The report also documented cases of killings, abductions, torture and ill-treatment, sexual violence, forced labour, ransom extortion in the territories controlled by the self-proclaimed 'Donetsk people's republic' and 'Luhansk people's republic.' The new UN report also notes that human rights violations continue to be committed by the de facto authorities in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

"Much attention is paid to the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea occupied by the Russian Federation, where the rights of Crimean Tatars and ethnic Ukrainians are subjects to constant violations. We believe that the severity and large scale of the problem with human rights violations by the Russian occupying authorities requires a separate detailed report," the Foreign Ministry said.
