 PGO prepares motions to arrest coalition and opposition MPs, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General says

Prosecutor General's Office is preparing to submit motions to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to gain permission for criminal prosecution of MPs from both the coalition and the opposition.

Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin told Ukrainski Novyny, Censor.NET reports.

"The motions will be submitted, as I have promised. They will concern both the Opposition bloc and the ruling coalition," he said.

The Prosecutor General has not specified the names of people's deputies who might be affected by such motions.

Earlier, Shokin has withdrawn the motion on stripping Verkhovna Rada deputy Andrii Lozovyi (Liashko Radical Party) of immunity and intends to add new charges of assault and battery to it.

The Prosecutor General has also announced that he did not intend to resign.
