Terrorists violated cease-fire 65 times over past day, - ATO press center

Last night, pro-Russian mercenaries slightly decreased the volume of shelling of the Ukrainian troops' positions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area, but continued to actively use Minsk-banned weapons.

This is reported by Censor.NET citing the ATO press center.

Near Donetsk, terrorists were using 120-mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions in Pisky, Novomykhailivka, Avdiivka, and Opytne from 6 p.m. till midnight.

At Artemivsk direction, Ukrainian strongpoint in Kurdiumivka village was fired at from a tank and 120-mm mortars at around 10 p.m. At 10:20 p.m., Troitske was shelled from 122-mm artillery.

It was relatively calm near Mariupol and in the Luhansk region from 6 p.m. till midnight.

Terrorists used small arms to provoke Ukrainian soldiers in Shchastia and Stanytsia Luhanska.

In total, mercenaries violated cease-fire for 65 times Aug. 5. They used artillery once, mortars 26 times, small arms and grenade launchers - 108 times, and tanks were employed three times.

After midnight, on Aug. 6, pro-Russian terrorists continued fire from 120-mm mortars near Leninske and Maiorsk. At 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. tanks were firing at Opytne, the Donetsk region.
