The Ukrainian Security Service stated that there are 2,000 Russian military advisers in the "DPR" and "LPR" terrorists’ breakaway regions.

Adviser to the chairman of the SBU Yurii Tandit said at a briefing, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

He showed video of interrogation of Russian Major Vladimir Starkov detained July 25 in the Donetsk region, in which the Russian officer disclosed the mechanism of coordination between the Russian Armed Forces military and local militants in the Donbas.

"As to Major Starkov, one can make interesting conclusions from this video... he is talking about approximately 2,000 of the so-called advisers. These are the people (from Russia), who operate here, but they are not even on a tour of duty - they serve there," Tandit said.

According to him, these advisers act as observers attached to the leaders of the militants or are in charge of militants' detachments. The advisers are also in charge of supply of the terrorists with ammunition and military equipment.
