Nuland denies US concessions to Russia over “Ukrainian issue” after agreement on Iran

Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland denies any concessions to Russia on Ukraine related issues due to the accords on the Iranian nuclear program.

She said this at a press conference in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

According to Nuland, the United States does not exchange one thing for another in the international relations.

When asked about the possible fading of the Ukrainian issue into insignificance in foreign policy of the United States in connection with the achievement of agreements on Iran, she said that the U.S. authorities did not consider that Russia had made concessions to the United States in the settlement of the Iranian issue.

At the same time Nuland stated that the United States continues to demand from Russia to act in accordance with the agreements reached in Minsk (Belarus) Feb. 12.
