He wrote: "The war has been unleashed in the Prosecutor General's Office due to the case on corruption of high-ranking officials!
"Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin has initiated acute conflict with his First Deputy Davit Sakvarelidze (Investigations department of the Inspectorate General) and Deputy Prosecutor General Vitalii Kasko (Procedural Administration). The Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit against their subordinates - the team of investigators and prosecutors of the Inspectorate General of the Prosecutor General's Office which deals with the case against prosecutors-grafters Korniets and Shapakin.
"The case No. 4201500000001453, filed by the decision of senior investigator for particularly important cases of the Directorate for investigation of particularly important cases Dmytro Sus, was registered July 13 in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations.
The team of employees of the Inspectorate General, which carried out all the procedural steps to detain prosecutors-grafters, has been accused of misrepresentation of the case of June 26. This case was filed by the Inspectorate General against appointees of Victor Shokin - prosecutors Shapakin and Korniets, who were caught red-handed taking a bribe and who were found more than $500,000 and a large number of real estate during the search.
Direct and explicit pressure on the investigative group of the General Inspectorate could not be put without the consent of the Prosecutor General Victor Shokin. This is an unprecedented event when the Prosecutor General's Office is openly putting pressure on its employees, who caught senior officials receiving bribes.
Now members of the investigation team may become subjects of searches, wiretapping, outdoor surveillance - that means that the investigation may be taken under full control. The Pechersk district Court has to issue the relevant sanction today.
It is not excluded that the PGO strives to completely close the case and dismiss the Inspectorate General. The cease of pre trial-investigation will allow avoiding unpleasant questions about the origin of funds and associates of Korniets and Shapakin. Shokin does not leave his own behind. Besides him the pressure on the investigation is put by Deputy Prosecutor General Stoliarchuk and Head of the Main Investigation Department Hryshchenko. Prosecutor General's Office decided not to put pressure on senior corrupt officials but on those who bring them to light," Butusov wrote.
Unaffiliated MP Borys Filatov also wrote on his page on Facebook: "One more Deputy Prosecutor General Stoliarchuk will arrive to Pechersk court at 2 p.m. to acquire sanctions on searches and wiretapping. Give him my best regards if you see him there. Let him know that there are hundreds of patriots in the prosecutor's office and in courts, who hate them and will not keep silence."
