 OSCE Parliamentary Assembly recognizes Russia as aggressor state, MP Semerak says

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly has recognized the actions of Russia as the military aggression against Ukraine.

Member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Deputy Ostap Semerak wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly adopted the resolution on "Obvious, gross and uncorrected violations by the Russian Federation of the OSCE commitments and international rules."

"The significant document of international condemnation of the Russian aggression against Ukraine recognizes the actions of the Russian Federation as an act of military aggression against Ukraine, demands from the Russian Federation to stop destabilization in Ukraine, stop supplying weapons and supplies to the militants, stop sending its servicemen into our territory, observe Minsk agreements..." the deputy said.

He noted that the document had not been supported by the delegations of France, Switzerland and Armenia. In addition, several representatives of the Netherlands and Cyprus abstained.

MP Nestor Shufrych was the only Ukrainian deputy - member of the delegation who did not support the resolution and abstained during the vote but supported the economic part.

Another member of the Ukrainian delegation, MP Hanna Hopko told that 97 parliamentarians voted for the resolution, 32 PMs abstained, and seven deputies were against.
