Valuables are being evacuated from PGO's building, - MP Levus

After the arrest of two senior officials of the Prosecutor's Office, valuables are being evacuated from the building of the authority. Meanwhile, MPs started collecting signatures for Shokin's resignation in the Verkhovna Rada.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the MP Andrii Levus (People's Front) on the air of Radio Svoboda.

According to Levus, the situation in the PGO is not a secret. The MP says he has addressed the acting prosecutor Huzyr for dozens of times about the activity of Boiko, Bakulin, Liovochkin, Firtash, Yeremeiev and other corrupt officials. "There always have been some childish answers and excuses pushing us to the single conclusion: the PGO is covering all these oligarchs," Levus said.

The MP reminded about the scandal when the PGO was extorting a large bribe of 3 million hryvnias from entrepreneurs. According to him, the current special operation was commenced after this entrepreneur had been addressed once again for another large bribe for the PGO. "David Sakvarelidze reacted to this situation. The SBU also responded quickly. And only because they walked on thin ice... these corrupt officials were taken, with large amounts of money having been confiscated. But technically there was no violation. If they had followed the common order, believe me, nothing would have been found, no one would have been detained and arrested, " the MP said.

According to Levus, at the moment a lot of valuables are being evacuated from the PGO, as it already happened in the Mezhyhiria residence of the former president Yanukovych. He also added the MPs had started collecting signatures in Verkhovna Rada for the resignation of the Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

"I think that Mr. Huzyr and Mr. Shokin should go over the Yarema's resignation (previous prosecutor general - Ed.). We started collecting signatures for Shokin's resignation in the Verkhovna Rada. I think this episode will step up the collection, as well as political decisions within the coalition. In fact, I think, David (Sakvarelidze - Ed.) would make a good PGO head," Levus resumed.
