 Number of convicted criminals rather than one of criminal cases measures crime prevention efficiency, Poroshenko says

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in Lviv that the fight against crime is measured by the number of convicted offenders rather than open criminal cases.

Presidential Administration Deputy Head Valerii Chalyi wrote on his page on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"No more reports on the number of open criminal cases. You should report on the number of offenders who went to jail under the court decisions," Chalyi quoted the president.

Earlier, Poroshenko demanded that the security agencies to stop the "ongoing smuggler feast" at the western border of Ukraine.
