'Boiko platforms' case hidden in Prosecutor's Office; it needs to be investigated by Interior Ministry, MP Chornovol says

Law enforcement agencies should investigate into operations of companies that were moving out funds of the state budget of Ukraine during Yanukovych presidency.

This was announced by People's Front MP, member of National security and defense Committee Tetiana Chornovol at a briefing in the Parliament, Censor.NET reports citing People's Front press service.

According to her, the purchase of the so-called 'Boiko platforms' was the most famous of the companies' transactions [this involved then-minister of Energy Yurii Boiko buying platforms for drilling oil in the Black sea through illegal procedures via then-president Viktor Yanukovych - Ed.].

"It is clear that 'Boiko platforms' were not Boiko's platforms in fact. Boiko was moving out funds for Yanukovych, but of course he had his share in it," MP noted.

People's Front representative said this was how the majority of Yanukovych's managers were operating.

"It was a pool of companies through which the funds were moved out during Euro-2012 football championship preparation by Kolesnikov, Katsuba, and many more managers of Yanukovych who operate in Ukraine. These people - Boiko, Katsuba, Bakulin - are still here. This same pool was used by Onyshchenko - present baron of the gas producing industry," she said.

Chornovol noted that it was extremely important to investigate all those cases.

She said that the 'Boiko platforms' case is currently in the Prosecutor's Office and is in fact 'hidden.'

"I demand that the Prosecutor's Office returns the case to the Interior Ministry for investigation," Chornovol said. "I do not know the reasons why [they stopped investigating - Ed.], maybe because it was arranged by people who continue to operate under the same schemes; maybe they have no experts for this; but I know that the Interior Ministry has no limitations like that, and the Interior Ministry will certainly investigate the case of 'Boiko platforms'," the deputy concluded.
