Explosion occurred on railway in Odesa. Three cars derailed


Three freight cars have derailed as a result of explosion at the Odesa railway on Thursday.

This is stated by State Administration of Railway Transport Ukrzaliznytsia, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

"An explosion occurred under a freight train on the Dachna - Vyhoda block of the Odesa railway at 1:11 a.m. June 4. The blast derailed three cars. There were no casualties. The freight train travelled empty," the statement notes.

Restoration work is currently underway on the block, involving two repair trains from Odesa and Rozdilna stations.

The odd railway was restored. Kyiv - Odesa train #105 traveled by it at 8:05 a.m..

The explosion damaged two meters of the even and odd railway, four concrete sleepers and wires of the catenary system.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating the incident.
