The head of state expressly noted the assistance provided by the Ukrainian diaspora.
In turn, Durbin, who is also a co-chair of the Subcommittee on Defense Appropriations Committee of the U.S. Senate, stated he advocated for increased financial support to Ukraine, in particular for strengthening its defense capability.
Poroshenko thanked the U.S. Congress for recognition of Ukraine as non-NATO ally (Ukraine Freedom Support Act) and noted the importance of the implementation of this document.
