Kikhtenko: Work of Donetsk administration called unsatisfactory. President will decide whether I will remain in this post


The audit of the work of the Head of the Donetsk Regional Civil Military Administration of Oleksandr Kikhtenko initiated by the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers, called the work of this administration unsatisfactory.

This was stated by Oleksandr Kikhtenko at a press conference in Kramatorsk on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

He noted that a decision on his further stay in office of the head of the region depends solely on President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

"Will I work in this position is the President's decision. And I will abide by his decision," the head of administration said.

Kikhtenko stressed that in today's conditions the Donetsk region authorities "is working very hard, and is performing its tasks", but not all issues can be resolved at the local level, without the government's assistance.

"This is primarily related to funding. All requests are sent to the ministries, and they shall decide. We are ready to rebuild roads, buildings, and bridges, but we need the funding," Kikhtenko said.
