"We have agreed during the talks with the UN Secretary General that the office to support the United Nations, which will help ensure the efficient implementation of the Minsk agreements, will be opened," the president said.

As previously reported, Russia has given its consent on deployment of peacekeeping contingent in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In April, the Presidential Administration admitted that the UN peacekeeping mission could be sent to Ukraine according to the decision of the UN General Assembly, if the relevant decision within the UN Security Council is blocked by Russia, which has the right of veto as the permanent member of the Security Council.
