Today the armed forces of Ukraine will continue withdrawal of heavy weapons from the demarcation line in the Donbas.

This was stated at a press conference of Deputy Head of Information Technology of the Defense Ministry, Colonel Serhii Halushko, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"Yesterday withdrawal of the first units started; these are anti-tank units, armed with 100-mm MT-12 Rapira artillery systems." They are redislocated to assigned positions located at no less than 25 km from the demarcation line as it is specified in the Minsk agreements dated Feb. 12. Today we will continue to withdraw our units," Halushko said.

He stressed that "the Ukrainian army is leaving enough forces and means along the line of contact in case of cease-fire violations and defense of our positions from the terrorists and Russian troops that support them."

According to him, the withdrawal of weapons is being held under the supervision of the OSCE representatives.
