Dzhemilev calls on Poroshenko to completely block occupied Crimea

The official Kyiv should completely block Crimea - no delivery of any food products, no electricity, no water - which will help to liberate the peninsula from the invaders.

This opinion was voice by presidential commissioner on Crimean Tatar people's rights, former MP, former head of the Majlis (self-governing body of the Crimean Tatars) Mustafa Dzhemilev in Ukrainian Crisis Media Center in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing LB.ua.

"The blockade will first of all anger Aksenov and Konstantinov, because they are having a hard time already ... Regular Crimeans who support Ukraine, call me every day and ask for it. They are willing to endure just to get rid of the invaders," Dzhemilev said.

He also said that he recently talked about this with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, but did not say whether any decision was made at the end of the conversation. Dzhemilev cited the situation with the supply of products to the peninsula. According to him, Ukrainian food products that go to Crimea from the mainland territory turn up on store shelves in Russia - they are loaded on other transport near Simferopol and sent on through the Kerch Strait. Part of Ukrainian food products, which remains on the peninsula, is sold at higher prices - at the level of Russian prices.
