Terrorists' heavy weapons stay put - OSCE

Representatives of Ukraine's and Russia's Army told OSCE observers that no withdrawal of the terrorists' heavy weapons was noted as of Feb. 24.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in its report. The mission observers visited the Joint Center for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) located in government-controlled city of Soledar, the Donetsk region, on Feb. 24.

On their visit, Russian Colonel-General provided the SMM with copies of schedules for the gradual withdrawal of heavy weapons by the "DPR" and "LPR", and the Ukrainian Chief of Staff provided a copy of a schedule for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The observers note that these schedules did not appear to be coordinated or jointly agreed. Although at least one schedule indicated a start date as early as Feb. 22, Ukrainian and Russian JCCC representatives admitted that they had not actually observed any withdrawal by the "DPR" or "LPR."
