Naftohaz says Gazprom is in breach of contract by supplying gas to "DPR" and "LPR" and it will not pay for it

National Joint Stock Company Naftohaz Ukrainy is not planning to pay the bills of the Russian gas monopoly Gazprom for supply of gas through the gas metering stations (GMS) that border the area of the anti-terrorist operation.

This was stated at a briefing of Naftohaz Chairman of the Board Andrii Kobolev, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainian News.

"This (payment of unauthorized supply of Gazprom through uncontrolled GMS - ed.) will not be conducted for money of Ukrainian consumers. This is contrary to contractual obligations as well as common sense," he said.

According to Kobolev, given the fact that Ukraine has resumed gas supplies to the area, and the said GMS have no representatives of Naftohaz or Ukrtanshaz, the statement of Gazprom is illogical and incorrect.
