 Terrorists demanded to postpone cease-fire – Poroshenko

The cease-fire agreement will come into force effective Feb. 15 due to the position of the Russia-backed terrorists’ representatives at the Minsk talks.

President of Ukraine Poroshenko said during joint briefing with the President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels, Censor.NET reports citing Liga.

According to him, the militants' representatives demanded 70 hours to cease fire.

"The cease-fire is a key element. We demanded to cease fire immediately. Unfortunately, they demanded that we gave them at least 70 hours delay," Poroshenko said.

Poroshenko said that the militants have launched an offensive in the east of Ukraine immediately after the signing of the agreement by the trilateral contact group.
