DPR militants oppose continuing evacuation of civilians from Debaltseve

The evacuation of civilian population from dangerous areas in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions continues, as well as humanitarian aid supply and rescue and recovery works.

Censor.NET reports citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On Feb. 6, 25 buses, two KRAZ armored vehicles and two ambulances were used for the evacuation of civilians," the Emergency service stated.

3985 people, including 804 children and 78 disabled persons, were evacuated from Avdiyivka, Debaltseve and nearby villages since Jan. 28.

However, DPR militants do not plan to continue evacuation of civilian population from Debaltseve, DPR ombudsman Daria Morozova said.

"We do not plan to continue evacuation as of today," she stated to Interfax. Answering the question whether she knows that government extended the truce on Saturday, Morozova said: "I do not possess the information."

Earlier Censor.NET reported that around 4,000 people have been already evacuated from Avdiivka and Debaltseve.
