Poroshenko: 2014 was the most difficult year after 1945

President Petro Poroshenko believes the year that passes to be the most difficult for Ukraine in the recent 70 years.

The president said at the beginning of his yearly press conference in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

"The year 2014 is coming to an end. It was a make-or-break year, the most difficult in the recent 70 years, after 1945. The most difficult for my country, for Ukraine. And I think, for the Europe and the whole world as well," Poroshenko said.

"The world became less secure, less predictable. The global post-war security system was ruined. It no longer works," he said.

"No, I do not agree that the world became bipolar. The fact that the whole world united around Ukraine, demonstrated unity and solidarity, means that we have strong case for optimism," the president said.
