"As for Naftogaz, we have allocated investment support for this state enterprise in amount of 110 billion hryvnia this year. We envisage a threefold reduction in subsidies in 2015 - to 32 billion. The necessity to provide grants-in-aid will be taken from Naftogaz in case if we raise the price to the market level and under such conditions the income from higher prices will be forwarded directly to subsidize the Ukrainian citizens who will need assistance due to prices and tariffs increase. According to the expectations, it may be 15 to 20 million people," he said.
It should be reminded that the gas prices increased by an average of 40% this year. Naftogaz gained nothing from it because all price growth benefits were neutralized by hryvnia devaluation.
