"The interlocutors discussed the situation in the Donbas as well as the Minsk Protocol of Sept. 5 and Minsk Memorandum of Sept. 19 execution progress. Petro Poroshenko, Francois Hollande, Angela Merkel, and Vladimir Putin agreed on the need to comply with all provisions of these agreements for peaceful settlement in the Donbas" the message reads.
In addition, the presidential press service noted that the parties advocated for holding the tripartite contact group meeting to ensure progress on the implementation of the Minsk agreements until the end of the week: "In particular, the agenda of the meeting of the contact group should include the issue of the cease-fire, withdrawal to the demarcation line, which is agreed in the Memorandum, withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons, as well as soonest release of all hostages. The president also drew attention to the urgent need to release the Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadia Savchenko from Russian prison, whose health has deteriorated."
"The presidents of Ukraine, Russia and France, as well as German Chancellor agreed to continue telephone negotiations in Normandy format in several days to maintain active dialogue and track the results of the agreements that were reached in this format," the press service added.
