Price of Brent Crude Oil Hits Record Low Since 2009 - Below $64 a Barrel

The cost of a barrel of North Sea Brent crude fell below $64, which is the lowest since the summer of 2009.

At Wednesday's trading the lowest price for this brand of oil constituted $63.58, which is 4.53% lower than the closing price of the previous trading session, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.

Brent futures prices for delivery in January, 2015 on the ICE Futures Exchange fell to $63.58 a barrel on Wednesday 19:58 MSK - the lowest since summer 2009.

This is 4.53% lower than the closing price the previous trading session. Later, the price of oil started gaining a little. At 20:00 MSK a barrel of Brent was trading at $64.03.

An hour an half before that, at 18:30 MSK January Brent futures were trading at $64.86 per barrel.
