Poroshenko fails to come to PGO for questioning

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has not come to the department of special investigations of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) for questioning as a witness in the case on the Maidan shootings.

Censor.NET reports citing Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department - Head of the Special Investigations Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Serhii Horbatiuk.

In addition, Horbatiuk said that Poroshenko has not yet signed the protocol of his first interrogation of 2016. The interrogation was recorded on video. After the interrogation, Poroshenko did not sign it, citing employment. However, later, according to Horbatiuk, despite repeated reminders, the president did not put his signature. This gives grounds for Horbatiukto consider such actions as intentional.

Horbatiukclarified that Poroshenko faces a fine for failing to appear, and after the end of the presidential powers, in case of a repeated non-appearance, a measure of compulsory delivery to interrogation can be applied to him.
