"I want to appeal to a man who occupies a very serious post - the post of president of Ukraine. Mr. Poroshenko, I really want you to move beyond slogans to meaningful action. Namely, imprison the murderers of Kateryna Handziuk, the Svynarchuks and remember that you have forgotten about our captured sailors, who are behind bars now and waiting for you while you rush through the [TV] channels looking Zelenskyi, giving medical samples and shouting at the stadium," Zelenskyi said in a video message that he posted on his Facebook page on Monday.
"Please do it. This is your concern, since a showman can become president, and the president who became a showman is a shame. Debates are on April 19, duties are every day," Zelenskyi said.
As earlier reported, according to the official voting results, Volodymyr Zelenskyi got 30.24% of the vote, Petro Poroshenko – 15.95%. On April 3, Zelenskyi invited Poroshenko to a debate before the second round of presidential elections. Zelenskyi stressed that the debate should take place at the Olimpiiskyi stadium in Kyiv, in the presence of all interested journalists and television channels.
Poroshenko, in his video address, reminded that according to the rules of the debate stipulated in the law on presidential elections, it can be held on public television and broadcast on all television channels. "But if it's the stadium, let it be the stadium. I'm waiting for you, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych," Poroshenko said.
