 International experts exclude 32 judges from Anti-Corruption Court competition

Jan. 23, Public Council of International Experts (PCIE) excluded 9 more judges from Anti-Corruption Court competition. A total of 32 judges have been excluded from the competition during joint meetings of PCIE and High Qualification Commission of Judges (HQCJ).

At the fourth joint meeting of PCIE and HQCJ the candidates were able to respond to doubts about their integrity and professionalism, as well as to additional questions.

As decided at the session, the judges Yurii Burbela, Roman Holovatyi, Viktoriia Zhovnovatiuk, Oleksandr Synhaievskyi, lawyers Diana Zanini, Anna Nadtochyieva, Oleksandr Ivasyn, Ihor Sicheslavskyi and academic Yurii Yurkevych were excluded from the competition as nominees for posts in High Anti-Corruption Court.

At the last two sessions, PCIE and HQCJ considered 11 candidates. Next meetings will take place Jan. 24 and 28.

A total of 39 judges are to enter the High Anti-Corruption Court, 12 of them will enter its Appeal Chamber.
