President: Ukraine May Impose Tight Economic Conditions for Occupied Territories of Donbas

Ukraine may impose tougher economic conditions in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions because of the fake elections that took place there.

This was announced by President Petro Poroshenko at the meeting of the National Security Council, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

"I do not exclude that the outcome of today's meeting may be stricter regime of crossing checkpoints, restricted movement for those who may be a threat by sending reconnaissance and sabotage groups. I do not exclude that we will be forced to make the economic conditions tighter," Poroshenko said.

He reminded that Ukraine continues to supply electricity and gas to the territories controlled by the terrorists.

"We continue to bear this burden without getting a penny for electricity or gas. We continue to heat Donetsk and Luhansk in sub-zero temperatures. Although, by law, we had to have cut off the heating and energy long time ago," the president said.

At that, Poroshenko promised to do everything possible to ensure that civilians do not suffer, although he admitted that the pseudo elections in the Donbas "have taken us away from resolving these critical social matters."
