As reported by Censor.NET citing a statement by the press service of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, a duty watch spotted the drone at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7. A response force left for the drone’s presumable launch site.
"The drone operator was found in a car parked nearby. Two drones, a laptop and UAV remote control units were found in the car. The suspect, the car and the equipment were handed over to the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine from among the Join Forces," the report reads.
The Defense Ministry reminds that UAVs flying over military bases or military camps as well as over storage facilities or approaching them will be brought down without warning while those involved in such actions will be detained and prosecuted under existing Ukrainian laws.
It is worth noting that there have been multiple reports on drones being spotted flying near military facilities recently.
