No one killed, three Ukrainian soldiers wounded on Wednesday in 19 attacks by Russian proxies, - JFO center

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone showed signs of aggravation over the past 24-hour period as Russian-led forces used mortars banned by the Minsk agreements several times.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Nov. 7, Russian invaders fired upon the Ukrainian troops 19 times using banned heavy weapons in three of the cases. The enemy bombarded the government forces deployed near Pavlopil and Luhanske with 82-mm mortar shells twice and committed strike with 120-mm mortars near Luhanske.

It is noted that the invaders committed yesterday’s attacks using grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. In addition, the Russian-led forces fired upon the defenders of Pavlopil from armament of infantry fighting vehicles and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns.

Combined Russian-separatist troops mounted attacks on the Joint Forces fighters deployed near Stanytsia Luhanska, Vilnyi, Luhanske, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Pisky, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove and Lebedynske.

"Three Ukrainian soldiers were wounded in yesterday’s hostilities," the report says.

Intelligence sources indicate two invaders eliminated and three more wounded over the past 24 hours.

"Today, Nov. 8, the enemy committed one attack on our stronghold in the vicinity of Krymske using 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms. The Joint Forces fighters sustained no casualties in that attack," the JFO HQ said.
