One Ukrainian soldier killed, two wounded in Donbas in past day amid 20 attacks by Russian proxies, - JFO center

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area deteriorated over the past 24-hour period as Russian-led forces inflicted casualties on the Ukrainian troops.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Nov. 1, combined Russian-separatist troops fired upon the government forces 20 times including one strike with heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

The Russian occupying troops employed grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the defenders of Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Berezove, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Starohnativka, Hranitne, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Vodiane and Lebedynske.

"In addition, the enemy bombarded the Joint Forces’ stronghold in the vicinity of Chermalyk village from 82 mm mortars. The invaders committed the majority of the attacks at the Mariupol section of the forefront.

"One Ukrainian serviceman was killed and two more were injured in action," the report reads.

It is also reported that today, Nov. 2, the Russian mercenaries committed three attacks on the Ukrainian troops deployed near Avdiivka, Marinka and Shyrokyne: "No heavy weapons were used against the Joint Forces fighters and no casualties were inflicted on them either."

Intelligence sources report two invaders eliminated and four wounded yesterday.
