No fatalities in Ukrainian army yesterday, two soldiers wounded amid 21 attacks

There was no major escalation of hostilities in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone over the past day despite significant number of mortar strikes.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 30, the Russian-led forces mounted 21 attacks on the government troops using heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements in six of them.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian occupying troops employed armament of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the defenders of Luhanske, Verkhniotoretske, Avdiivka, Pisky, Opytne, Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lomakyne, Vodiane and Lebedynske.

The enemy also shelled the Joint Forces’ strongholds near Avdiivka, Pisky, Lomakyne and Luhanske with 82-mm mortars. Besides, the defenders of Luhanske were barraged with 120-mm mortar shells. The enemy committed three mortar strikes on the stronghold in the vicinity of this village located at the Svitlodarsk section of the forefront.

"Two Joint Forces fighters were wounded in action Oct. 30," the report reads.

It is also noted that yesterday after 5 p.m., the enemy concentrated almost all of its attacks on the littoral area of the Sea of Azov. The Ukrainian servicemen responded properly to the invaders’ hostile actions by suppressing their firing points when necessary.

Intelligence sources indicate three Russian mercenaries eliminated and two more wounded over the past 24-hour period.

"Today, Oct. 31, the enemy committed two attacks on the defenders of Lebedynske using small arms and large-caliber machine guns inflicting no casualties on them," the JFO HQ said.
