Ukrainian army reports one soldier wounded in Donbas as Russian mercenaries mounted 20 attacks on Monday

The security situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area remained tense over the past 24 hours despite zero heavy weapons strikes launched against the government troops.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 30, the Russian-led forces opened fire on the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds 20 times using no heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

It is noted that the number of attacks did not increase compared with the previous day but the enemy extensively used small arms, including large-caliber machine guns.

"The enemy attacks were recorded near Stanytsia Luhanska, Verkhniotoretske, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane and Lebedynske.

"One joint Forces fighter was wounded in action over the past 24 hours," the report reads.

No Ukrainian soldier was killed or injured today, Oct. 30, as combined Russian-separatist forces fired upon the Ukrainian troops deployed in the vicinity of Pavlopil with small arms.

Intelligence sources indicate one Russian mercenary eliminated and two more wounded on Oct. 29.
