As reported by Censor.NET citing the update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 24, the Russian-led forces opened fire on the government troops 14 times including two strikes with weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
It is noted that the enemy’s 120-mm mortar shells hit Vodiane village in the Mariupol section of the forefront.
"Russian-occupying troops employed 82-mm mortars, armament of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against defenders of Vilnyi, Katerynivka, Novoluhanske, Kamianka, Pisky, Marinka, Taramchuk, Pavlopil , Hnutove and Vodiane.
"One Joint Forces fighter was injured in action over the past 24-hour period," the report reads.
"The defenders of Pavlopil and Hnutove were barraged from 82 mm mortars while the enemy fired upon the Ukrainian troops’ stronghold in the vicinity of Pisky from grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.
"Three attacks with grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms were recorded on the outskirts of Vilnyi village, the Popasna section of the frontline, over the past day. The Joint Forces servicemen gave a fitting rebuff to the enemy assaults," the JFO HQ said in a statement.
Intelligence sources indicate three invaders eliminated yesterday.
"Today, Oct. 25, the invaders mounted three attacks on the Ukrainian troops deployed near Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka and Hnutove using no heavy weapons. One Joint Forces fighter was wounded as a result of today’s assaults," the agency said.
