As reported by Censor.NET, head of the occupying authorities of Crimea, Sergey Aksenov said that a student, who triggered an explosive device at the Kerch Polytechnic College and eventually attacked those inside the building, killed himself.
"[It was] a 22-year-old student of this college. He was a fourth-year student at this very educational institution," Aksenov told a correspondent for Russia-24 TV channel.
"The alleged killer shot himself dead. He committed suicide. The killer's body was found in the library on the second floor," Aksenov said.
Russia’s Investigation Committee confirmed that a 4th-year college student, 22-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov is suspected of committing the attack on the college. His body with a gunshot wound was found in one of the premises of the college.
"A young man who entered the college shortly before the incident was quickly identified as he was captured on camera carrying a shotgun," said Svetlana Petrenko, the spokesperson for the Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation.
"He turned out to be a 4th-year college student, 18-year-old Vladislav Roslyakov. His body with a gunshot wound was found in a college room. As far as the investigation visualizes the crime, this young man gunned down people in the college and then committed suicide," the spokesperson said.
She noted that the crime scene team continues working on site collecting items and evidence that are relevant to the investigation and interviewing witnesses. Forensic and other examinations will be scheduled in the near future.
Roslyakov entered the Polytechnic College in 2015. On Sept. 8, he received a permit for a 12-gauge shotgun and purchased 150 cartridges for it a few days ago.
College students said that a student left a backpack in the dining-hall shortly before the explosion. They also reported that they had heard this young man talking about him playing around with explosives.
The person in the picture, according to Mash, is wanted for perpetrating the terrorist attack.
