As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 10, the Russian-led forces committed 28 attacks on the Ukrainian troops using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements 12 times.
The Russian-occupation forces employed 120- and 82-mm mortars, anti-tank missile systems, armament of infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, small arms and sniper weapons against defenders of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Stepne, Troitske, Luhanske, Travneve, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne.
Two soldiers received lethal wounds as they tripped a mine yesterday.
The Joint Forces’ strongholds near Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Travneve, Novoluhanske and Krasnohorivka were bombarded with 120-mm mortar shells. 82-mm mortars were employed against the Joint Forces fighters near Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Novoluhanske, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Hnutove and Lebedynske. The defenders of Zolote and Hnutove were shelled with anti-tank guided missiles while the defenders of Krymske and Travneve came under fire of IFV-mounted weapons. In addition, the Ukrainian troops’ strongpoint in the vicinity of Novotoshkivske was fired upon with an anti-aircraft gun. Besides, an enemy sniper fired several shots at the stronghold near Hnutove village.
"Two Joint Forces fighters were killed and another three were wounded in action over the past 24-hour period," the casualty report reads.
Intelligence sources indicate six invaders eliminated and 10 injured yesterday.
"Today, Oct. 11, the enemy committed three attacks on the Ukrainian troops deployed near Hnutove and Shyrokyne villages, the Mariupol section of the frontline, using heavy machine guns and small arms. No attacks with heavy weapons were recorded today. The Joint Forces fighters suffered no casualties in the said assaults," the JFO HQ said.
