As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Oct. 9, the Russian-led forces committed 39 attacks on the Ukrainian troops’ strongholds including 14 strikes with heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.
The government forces deployed near Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Novozvanivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Travneve, Zalizne, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Berezove, Novotroitske, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske and Shyrokyne were deliberately fired upon with grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. The Russian occupying troops bombarded defenders of Novotoshkivske with 152-mm artillery and employed 122-mm caliber cannons against government forces near Vodiane.
The Joint Forces’ strongholds in the vicinity of Luhanske, Hnutove and Lebedynske came under strikes with 120-mm mortars. The defenders of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Novozvanivka, Luhanske, Novoluhanske and Vodiane were barraged with 82-mm mortar shells. In addition, the invaders fired upon the Ukrainian soldiers near Krymske and Novozvanivka from armament of infantry fighting vehicles. The Joint Forces’ stronghold in the vicinity of Zolote was hit with anti-tank guided missiles.
"One Joint Forces fighter was killed in action and two others received minor combat injuries over the past 24-hour period," the casualty report reads.
Intelligence sources indicate three Russian mercenaries eliminated and five wounded yesterday.
"Today, Oct. 10, the enemy employed heavy machine-guns and small arms against the Joint Forces’ strongholds near Hnutove and Shyrokyne, the Mariupol section of the forefront. No heavy weapons were used against the Ukrainian military personnel and no casualties were inflicted on them," JFO headquarters said.
