NABU chief says no fresh bugs planted at SAP office

Director of the National Anti-corruption Bureau (NABU), Artem Sytnyk denies reports on his agency having bugged the office of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP).

As reported by Censor.NET, the law enforcer told Ukrinform.

"This is not true," Sytnik said responding to the journalist’s question whether it was true that NABU planted the bugging equipment.

SAP Head, Nazar Kholodnytskyi earlier said that NABU once again tried to bug his agency’s office.

According to him, members of the Department of the State Guard of Ukraine found a cable that was being laid from nearby building of Okhmatdyt hospital to SAP’s office.

"When the cable was discovered, the NABU commandos arrived to liberate their blocked colleagues. They crashed SAP’s car and attacked SAP’s driver. He is now having his battery-induced injuries verified. Moreover, all of this happened right in front of the police officers’ eyes," Kholodnytskyi said.

According to him, the SBU crime scene team carried out investigation on the spot.
