As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Sept. 7, the invaders fired upon the government forces 32 times including two strikes with large-caliber weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. The Russian mercenaries employed grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the Ukrainian troops. In addition, the enemy shelled the government troops deployed in the vicinity of Krymske village, the Luhansk section of the forefront, with 152-mm artillery and bombarded an outpost at the Svitlodarsk salient with 120-mm mortars.
"The enemy attacked strongholds on the outskirts of Malynove, Shchastia, Krymske, Orikhove, Katerynivka, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Pivdenne, Novhorodske, Opytne, Avdiivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Vodiane," the situation report reads.
"A Ukrainian soldier was killed and two more were injured in action over the past day," the JFO HQ said.
Intelligence sources indicate three members of the Russian-occupation troops eliminated in response fire yesterday.
"Today, Sept. 8, the enemy fired upon the Ukrainian forces’ strongholds in the vicinity of Krymske, Lebedynske and Hnutove villages with grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms three times inflicting no casualties on our defenders," the agency said.
