"Today the government has decided to announce a competition for the post of the SFS's head. Repeatedly answering journalists' questions, I said that I fully support the idea of holding a competition, and that I'm planning to take part. Not only does my team have a strategy and vision for the development of the SFS, we have real results," Prodan wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.
Prodan says the competition will attract considerable public attention, as well as remain in focus of businesses and Ukraine's international partners.
"To eliminate the conflict of interest and any speculation on this matter, I have decided to ask the government to appoint another acting head of the agency. The agency over this period should be headed by someone not taking part in the competition," he said.
