No one killed, eight Ukrainian soldiers wounded in Donbas on Sunday amid 16 attacks by Russian proxies, - JFO center

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone somewhat deteriorated over the past 24-hour period compared to the previous days but was still under control of the Ukrainian troops.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Sept. 2, 2018, combined Russian-separatist forces committed 16 attacks on the Ukrainian troops’ positions. However, the invaders used no heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

The enemy reportedly employed grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the Ukrainian military.

The Russian-occupation forces fired upon the Ukrainian troops deployed on the outskirts of Krymske, Shumy, Pivdenne, Kamianka, Marinka, Berezove, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Vodiane and Shyrokyne.

"Four servicemen were wounded yesterday as the enemy fired upon their positions. Another four received minor injuries. All of them were promptly evacuated from the advanced positions and taken to healthcare facilities where they were provided with the necessary treatment," the situation report reads.

Intelligence sources indicate three invaders eliminated and six more wounded over the past day.

It was also reported that today, Sept. 3, the enemy mounted four attacks on the government forces near Pisky, Vodiane, Pavlopil and Krymske villages using grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms but inflicting no casualties on the Ukrainian military personnel.
