No Ukrainian soldier killed or injured on Sunday as Russian mercenaries mounted 20 attacks, - JFO center

The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone was relatively calm over the past 24-hour period since no heavy weapons were used against the Ukrainian military.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO press service headquarters as of Aug. 19, the enemy committed 20 attacks on the strongholds of the Ukrainian troops using no heavy weapons.

"The Russian occupation forces committed deliberate attacks using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms as well as armament of the infantry fighting vehicles at certain sections of the forefront.

"The defenders of Krymske, Katerynivka, Luhanske, Pivdenne, Zalizne, Zaitseve, Novoselivka Druha, Hnutove, Pavlopil, Lebedynske, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne came under the enemy fire. The invaders also used IFV armament in the vicinity of Katerynivka," the situation report reads.

It is also worth noting that today, Aug. 20, the Russian occupation forces fired upon the Ukrainian troops deployed on the outskirts of Shyrokyne and Lebedynske villages with grenade launchers and small arms three times.

"The Ukrainian troops suffered no battle casualties yesterday and today," the JFO HQ said.

Intelligence sources indicate two invaders wounded in retaliatory fire.
