No fatalities in Ukrainian army on Sunday, two soldiers wounded as Russian proxies mounted 57 attacks

The situation in the Joint forces operation (JFO) zone was tense over the past day as combined Russian-separatist forces persistently tried to invite retaliation of the Ukrainian troops.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of Aug. 12, the invaders committed 57 attacks on the Ukrainian troops including 12 strikes with heavy weapons.

The Russian occupation forces deliberately employed grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms against the Ukrainian military personnel. Attacks with the armament of infantry fighting vehicles and anti-tank guided missiles were recorded at certain sections of the forefront.

"Defenders of Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Svitlodarsk, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Zaitseve, Marinka, Mykolaivka, Opytne, Avdiivka, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka, Chermalyk, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodiane and Shyrokyne came under fire. The enemy also shelled the Ukrainian troops deployed in the vicinity of Hnutove with 122-mm tube artillery while our positions near Krymske, Luhanske, Maiorsk, Zaitseve, Vodiane, Hnutove and Lebedynske were bombarded with 120- and 82-mm mortars. Sniper attacks were recorded on the outskirts of Mykolaivka village," the situation report reads.
