The cooks of Orliatko summer camp in the Donetsk region who were carriers for dysentery caused mass poisoning of children and staff.

The experts of the Donetsk regional laboratory told Radio Svoboda, Censor.NET reports.

The laboratory employees found that the children were infected with acute dysentery. In the meantime, almost all young patients have already been discharged from the region's hospitals. The officials vow to conduct large-scale checks at all summer camps.

Almost all the children who were infected in Orliatko summer camp on July 18 have been discharged from the infections units. A total of 94 persons including 79 children were hospitalized than.

The experts conducted several tests and named the cause of mass poisoning. The children were infected with acute dysentery. This disease, they say, is only transmitted person to person. The laboratory workers say most the disease was most likely transmitted from the summer camp kitchen employees carrying dysentery who served dishes without getting their hands disinfected first.
